The New Frontier: Making a difference in later life (Ed. Robin Lloyd-Jones, ThunderPoint Publishing) was given a successful launch at West End Lane Books, West Hampstead on 25th April.
Robin spoke briefly about the book which consists of interviews with people over 70 who are still making a positive contribution to society.
He said that he, personally, had found the amazing men and women in the book to be inspirational role models.
James Hickie, representing Age UK, then said a few words about the work of Age UK and thanked Robin for donating all his share of the profits from The New Frontier to Age UK.
Guest of Honour at the launch was Zenka Fantlova – a survivor of Auschwitz and Belsen, now aged 97, one of the 18 interviewees in the book.
