Jill Korn writes: I graduated in 2019 with a Master’s in Creative Writing. I wanted my retirement to be creative. With five audio plays under my belt, I applied for Creative Scotland funding to produce three more celebrating Ayrshire where I have lived for forty years.

An Ayrshire Trilogy is now complete. High Spirits, The Lady and the Poet and There Goes Craufurdland are three very different audio dramas made with Scottish talent and, I believe, to BBC standard. Not only do they highlight this beautiful county, the plays provided paid work for creative people who, like me, had struggled through lockdown.

Just heard that my work is to be featured in this year’s UK International
Audio Drama Festival too. Very excited because writing is something I put
off doing until I had almost retired from the day job!
